How it is calculated

C1 × V1 = C2 × V2 → stock to add V1 = C2 × V2 ÷ C1.

If you just add the stock to a full bag, V1 = C2 × Vbag ÷ (C1 − C2).

Worked example

5% from 50% in 1000 mL: remove 100 mL and add 100 mL of 50%.
